Judge Trims Native American Group's Chevron Project Suit

Law360, New York (March 22, 2012, 8:27 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday dismissed three claims from a Native American group's suit over the government's alleged indiscretion in approving Chevron Energy Solutions' 45-megawatt solar energy project slated to go up on sacred land, giving the organization two weeks to rework the arguments.

Moving forward, La Cuna de Aztlan Sacred Sites Protection Circle will file an amended complaint in California federal court that more explicitly presses Chevron and the government on the alleged wrongdoing, its attorney said.
