Hershey Pushes Out Older Workers, Class Action Says

Law360, New York (March 22, 2012, 12:35 PM EDT) -- Chocolate giant The Hershey Co. had a policy of pushing out older employees, three former salespeople allege in a complaint removed to California federal court Tuesday.

The suit, first filed in February in Alameda County, Calif., and removed to federal court, alleges that Gregory Barnes, David Bolle and Mary Wasson were subject to an internal company policy that aimed to promote younger employees into positions that had been held by older workers.
