$120M Calif., NRG Settlement Creates Car-Charging Network

Law360, New York (March 23, 2012, 5:43 PM EDT) -- California said Friday it had struck a landmark $120 million settlement agreement with NRG Energy Inc. that will fund the construction of electric car-charging stations across the state and resolve claims related to the 2000-2001 electricity crisis.

Gov. Jerry Brown also announced he had signed an executive order calling for the state to build the infrastructure necessary to maintain 1 million zero-emission vehicles on the state's roads by 2020.
