FTC Targets Data Brokers, App Makers In Privacy Report

Law360, New York (March 26, 2012, 8:49 PM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission singled out data brokers and mobile application makers as potential enforcement targets in a commission report released Monday, saying the two industries had so far failed to implement adequate consumer privacy protections, and calling for privacy legislation that would increase data broker transparency, among other measures.
