Makeup Giants Want Animal-Testing Class Action Nixed

Law360, New York (March 27, 2012, 5:20 PM EDT) -- Estee Lauder Inc. and Mary Kay Inc. said Monday that plaintiffs in California have relied too heavily on the claims of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals in filing a putative class action, wrongly taking the group at its word when it said the cosmetic giants were testing their products on animals.
