Judge Combines Class Actions Over Apple's Siri Ads

Law360, New York (March 30, 2012, 5:35 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Thursday consolidated a pair of putative class actions against Apple Inc. alleging the voice-activated Siri feature in its iPhone 4S does not function as advertised, in violation of state consumer protection laws.

U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken said the two consumer actions stem from the same transaction and involve similar issues of law and fact, and gave the plaintiffs 14 days to file a master consolidated complaint.
