Oracle Drops DRAM Price-Fixing Suit Against Micron

Law360, New York (March 30, 2012, 1:14 PM EDT) -- Oracle America Inc. and Micron Technology Inc. have agreed to settle Oracle's California lawsuit alleging the semiconductor manufacturer conspired with other companies to drive up the price of dynamic random access memory microchips it sold to Oracle's Sun Microsystems, Micron announced late Thursday.

The agreement puts to rest Oracle's claims in federal court that Micron sold Sun $2 billion of DRAM chips that were made artificially expensive by a secret pact with Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Hynix Semiconductor Inc., Elpida Memory Inc. and Infineon Technologies AG....
