Developer M&M Hits Back In Contract Row Over NY Mall

Law360, New York (April 4, 2012, 12:43 PM EDT) -- M&M Realty Partners LLC, the would-be developer of a 128-acre New York shopping mall, countersued the property owner in federal court Tuesday, claiming Wilder Balter Partners Inc. negotiated with M&M to develop the mall and then improperly terminated their agreement.

New Jersey-based M&M is demanding unspecified compensation for the time and effort it spent marketing the mall to tenants before Wilder Balter flouted the allegedly agreed-upon terms of the joint venture last summer, according to a counterclaim M&M filed Tuesday in New York federal court....
