BofA, Progressive Duck Most Claims In Katrina Payment Row

Law360, New York (April 4, 2012, 4:55 PM EDT) -- A Louisiana federal judge on Monday mostly dismissed a New Orleans apartment complex owner's claims against Bank of America Corp. and Progressive Casualty Insurance Co. stemming from an insurance adjuster's misappropriation of payments from other insurers for Hurricane Katrina damage.

U.S. District Judge Lance M. Africk dismissed most of the allegations against Progressive, which had covered defense of a lawsuit over an insurance adjuster who had allegedly pocketed insurance proceeds from other insurers to clean up a damaged apartment complex in New Orleans.
