Internal Report Shows KBR Knew Of Toxin Risk, Soldiers Say

Law360, New York (April 4, 2012, 4:40 PM EDT) -- Oregon National Guard soldiers asked a federal judge on Wednesday to sanction military contractor KBR Inc. after discovering a previously undisclosed internal report revealing the extent of the company's knowledge of sodium dichromate contamination at an Iraqi water plant.

The report confirms the contractor was well aware of the plant's annual use of more than 8 million pounds of the toxin, exposure to which led to cancer and other major health problems, the soldiers suing KBR claim.
