Goldman Ruling Would Undermine Arbitration, Group Says

Law360, New York (April 5, 2012, 8:12 PM EDT) -- A major securities industry group on Tuesday called on the Second Circuit to reverse a lower court's ruling that a Goldman Sachs & Co. arbitration clause was unenforceable in a lawsuit that accuses the bank of discriminating against female employees, saying that allowing the decision to stand would undermine a system that companies have long relied on as an alternative to litigation.
