US Strikes $7.5M Deal With Grand Central Tunnel Contractors

Law360, New York (April 4, 2012, 8:16 PM EDT) -- The U.S. government reached a $7.5 million settlement Wednesday with two contractors alleged to have falsely represented to New York's transit authority the amount of work given to disadvantaged businesses on a tunnel linking regional rail lines to Grand Central Terminal.

The government simultaneously filed the settlement agreement and a complaint against Dragados USA Inc., Judlau Contracting Inc. and their joint venture Dragados/Judlau JV in New York federal court, according to U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara.
