Facebook Claims 'Self-Defense' In Ad Co.'s Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (April 5, 2012, 7:31 PM EDT) -- Facebook Inc. asked a California federal judge to toss an antitrust case against it Wednesday, saying online advertising display company Sambreel Holdings LLC failed to prove the social networking giant did anything other than legally protect its own business.

Sambreel's flagship product PageRage, which allows users to customize their pages with designs that appear in their Web browsers when they visit Facebook, competes with Facebook in the sale of advertising impressions, Sambreel said in its March 19 complaint.
