Businessman Convicted Of $136M DOT Contracts Fraud

Law360, New York (April 6, 2012, 5:11 PM EDT) -- A business owner was found guilty by a Pennsylvania federal jury Friday of defrauding the U.S. Department of Transportation by using a front company to land $136 million in government contracts through a program meant to benefit minority-owned businesses.

The jury found Joseph W. Nagle guilty of 26 of the 30 charges against him, including conspiracy to defraud the USDOT and commit wire and mail fraud, seven counts of wire fraud, six counts of mail fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering and 11 counts of money...
