AA Joins Trademark Battle Against Google

Law360, New York (August 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- American Airlines Inc. has become the latest company to take umbrage over Google's sponsored links, filing a trademark infringement suit and accusing the leading search engine of helping third parties mislead consumers.

The Texas-based airline filed a lawsuit alleging trademark infringement against Google Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. The suit seeks an injunction, restitution and trebled damages.
