Nokia Dials In Complaint Against Qualcomm With ITC

Law360, New York (August 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In the latest move in a protracted patent battle over cellular technology, Finnish cellular giant Nokia Corp. on Friday filed a complaint with the International Trade Commission, asking it to ban the importation of certain Qualcomm Inc. chipsets into the United States that allegedly infringe on Nokia's patents.

Nokia told the ITC that Qualcomm's CDMA and WCDMA/GSM chipsets had infringed on five Nokia patents. The patents are related to methods that improve the performance and wireless communication devices, while enabling lower manufacturing costs, smaller product sizes...
