Judge Grounds JetBlue Passengers' Suit Over Tarmac Delay

Law360, New York (April 11, 2012, 6:48 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge dismissed a class action alleging JetBlue Airways Corp. illegally kept passengers stranded for more than seven hours during an October snowstorm, ruling the plaintiffs' claims were preempted by federal law, according to court documents made available Wednesday.

A group of dissatisfied passengers demanded relief on several claims, including false imprisonment, but U.S. District Judge Thomas J.
