Ex-Whittier Analyst Pleads Guilty In $62M Insider Tips Case

Law360, New York (April 13, 2012, 3:32 PM EDT) -- A former Whittier Trust Co. research analyst pled guilty Friday to trading on insider information about Dell Inc. and agreed to cooperate with prosecutors as they pursue an expanded case against the alleged $62 million criminal stock-tipping club he belonged to.

Danny Kuo, a 36-year-old California man, entered his plea in a Manhattan courtroom, also admitting that he traded Nvidia Corp. stock using nonpublic information that he paid a bribe to obtain.
