Group Can't Sue Tobacco Cos For Medicare: Court

Law360, New York (August 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An appeals court has dismissed an advocacy group's attempt to recoup tax money spent on Medicare for people with illnesses that stem from cigarette smoking, rejecting the group's argument that it could sue on the government's behalf.
