Oscar Winner Sues Paramount, Universal Over 'Sorcerer'

Law360, New York (April 13, 2012, 3:04 PM EDT) -- The Academy Award-winning director of “The French Connection” on Thursday sued Universal Studios Inc. and Paramount Pictures Corp. for the right to screen his 1977 adventure thriller “Sorcerer,” after the studios allegedly denied his requests publicly to screen the film.
