Skilling Denied High Court Review In Latest Appeal

Law360, New York (April 16, 2012, 12:57 PM EDT) -- Imprisoned former Enron CEO Jeffrey K. Skilling, whose name has become shorthand for the 2010 U.S. Supreme Court decision that narrowed the scope of the honest services fraud statute, failed in another appeal Monday before the high court to overturn his conviction.

The Supreme Court denied in a brief order Skilling’s petition for writ of certiorari challenging a Fifth Circuit decision. Justice Elena Kagan recused herself from the determination.
