BGC Closes Grubb & Ellis Sale To Form Real Estate Giant

Law360, New York (April 16, 2012, 4:46 PM EDT) -- Global brokerage BGC Partners Inc. has closed its acquisition of bankrupt Grubb & Ellis Co. and begun to integrate it with Newmark Knight Frank, its existing multinational firm, to form a commercial real estate powerhouse, it said Friday.

The freshly combined Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, which unites two well-known industry names in a single full-service company, has more than 100 offices throughout North America and manages 250 million square feet in property and facilities, in addition to an appraisal business, according to BGC.
