Nokia Says Interdigital Fee Order Excessive

Law360, New York (April 17, 2012, 4:43 PM EDT) -- Nokia Corp. on Tuesday asked the Second Circuit to reverse an order that it pay InterDigital Inc. $500,000 as part of a long-running dispute over wireless patents, arguing that the amount has no relationship with InterDigital's actual damages.

Nokia was ordered in July to pay $500,000 from an injunction bond after it forced InterDigital, a wireless technology research group, into patent arbitration over the rights to 3G mobile phone patents, fracturing a proceeding that also involved Samsung Electronics Co.
