Fired Employees Sue HomeBanc

Law360, New York (August 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bankrupt mortgage lender HomeBanc Mortgage Corp. has been targeted by former employees who claim they were not given ample warning before being let go by the company in the wake of its Chapter 11 filing.

Three former employees filed an adversary case against the lender Tuesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. They claim HomeBanc failed to provide its fired employees 60 days notice, in violation of the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.
