Law Firms Fire Back At Copyright Suits Over Patent Apps

Law360, New York (April 20, 2012, 7:22 PM EDT) -- The inclusion of copyrighted journal articles in patent applications is fair use and requiring a license for such material would undermine the patent system, McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP, one of the law firms that two publishers have accused of infringement, said in a response filed Thursday.
