Judge Appoints Trustee In Sentinel Bankruptcy

Law360, New York (August 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge on Thursday granted bankrupt money manager Sentinel Management Group Inc. its request to appoint a trustee to oversee the firm’s operations.

Judge John H. Squires of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois granted Sentinel’s emergency motion to appoint a trustee, two days after it was issued by the bankrupt firm. Sentinel claimed that a trustee was appropriate after recent legal action from the National Futures Association and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission left the company unable to manage...
