DOJ's Tax Lien Bid-Rigging Probe Nabs 8th Guilty Plea

Law360, New York (April 23, 2012, 7:19 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey financial investor on Monday became the eighth individual to plead guilty to conspiring to rig municipal tax lien auctions as part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s ongoing investigation in New Jersey.

Felony charges were filed in New Jersey federal court against David Butler, of Cherry Hill, and DSBD LLC, a New Jersey company that managed tax lien investments, of which Butler was a partner, according to the DOJ.
