Law360, New York (April 26, 2012, 4:55 PM EDT) -- Global dialysis firm Gambro Healthcare Inc. urged a judge on Tuesday to block portions of a False Claims Act case in which former employees accuse it of creating waste in order to overbill Medicare, saying the lawsuit is partly preempted by a past settlement.
The newer case involves allegations that Gambro from 2002 to 2010 treated patients in a manner that wasted huge amounts of vitamin D and iron drugs.
