Law360, New York (April 27, 2012, 4:52 PM EDT) -- Marques Rondale Gunter's file-sharing website on Wednesday urged the Seventh Circuit to vacate a preliminary injunction against it, blasting a pornographic website's claims the file-sharing site violated copyright laws by linking to allegedly infringing content as "misdirection and obfuscation."
In a brief filed Thursday, file-sharing site myVidster.com asked the appeals court to reverse and vacate an Illinois district court's preliminary injunction order, arguing its creation of links to allegedly infringing content did not constitute a transmission or communication under the Copyright Act.
