Google, AOL Sued Over E-Mail Interpretation Patent

Law360 (August 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- America Online Inc., Google Inc., Yahoo! Inc. and Amazon.com Inc. are among the targets of a recently filed lawsuit accusing the defendants of implementing Web sites that interpret electronic messages in a way that infringes a single patent held by plaintiff Polaris IP LLC.

Polaris IP filed the lawsuit on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, naming Google Inc., Yahoo! Inc., Amazon.com Inc., A9.com Inc., Borders Inc., Borders Group Inc., AOL LLC, America Online Inc., IAC/Interactive Corp. and IAC Search...
