Amazon To Invest $200M In Texas To Quell Sales Tax Battle

Law360, New York (April 27, 2012, 6:06 PM EDT) -- While calling for legislation clarifying states' rights to charge sales tax on online sales, Inc. agreed Friday to collect sales taxes and make at least $200 million in capital investments in Texas, ending a dispute with the state over $269 million in unpaid taxes.
