Liu Treasurer Hit With New Charge In Campaign Finance Case

Law360, New York (April 27, 2012, 5:43 PM EDT) -- A new charge for making false statements to FBI agents was added in New York federal court Thursday to other criminal charges of campaign finance law violations against New York City Comptroller John C. Liu's campaign treasurer.

The new charge joins existing charges in a case accusing 25-year-old Jia "Jenny" Hou of conspiring with other campaign members to conceal excessive donations. The case against Hou was merged Thursday with a case making similar charges against former campaign manager Xing Wu "Oliver" Pan.
