Crayola Offers Refunds To Scrub Out Suit Over Bubble Stains

Law360, New York (May 1, 2012, 7:38 PM EDT) -- Crayola LLC will provide refunds to customers and pay $950,000 in attorneys' fees and costs under a settlement approved Friday, ending a class action claiming the company deceptively marketed its Washable Colored Bubbles as "washable" when the product left long-lasting stains.

In a complaint filed in Washington federal court, the purchasers of the Crayola-brand bubbles and related child products said the bubbles “stain everything they touch” and that the stains could only sometimes be removed with considerable time and expense.
