2 Classes Win Cert. In Insurance Overcharge Suit, As AIG Exits

Law360, New York (April 30, 2012, 7:14 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Thursday certified two classes targeting an American International Group Inc. subsidiary and collection agency Credit Control Services with claims they improperly billed for auto insurance after policies had ended, but tossed claims against parent AIG.

Plaintiff Victor Boyko had sought to have three classes certified, but U.S. District Judge Robert B. Kugler trimmed the proposed classes by eliminating some of the claims Boyko sought to use.
