NLRB Tells Store To Rehire Workers Axed Over Facebook Posts

Law360, New York (April 30, 2012, 8:36 PM EDT) -- A National Labor Relations Board judge on Friday ruled that a San Francisco clothing store must reinstate three employees who were fired after writing Facebook posts that criticized their manager and discussed bringing an employee rights handbook to the store.

Administrative Law Judge William G. Kocol concluded that the Facebook posts were part of the employees' efforts to get Bettie Page Clothing to close earlier in the evening based on concerns about working late in an unsafe neighborhood, and that as such, the store had committed...
