SEC Taps New Deputy Director Of Enforcement

Law360, New York (April 30, 2012, 7:20 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday promoted the head of its New York office to deputy director of the agency's enforcement division, where he will serve under a fellow veteran of the Manhattan federal prosecutor's office.

George S. Canellos, who has been the director of the SEC's New York office since July 2009, will replace Lorin Reisner, who left the agency in November to become the head of the criminal division at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York....
