Visto Sues RIM Again Over Phone E-Mail Patents

Law360 (August 29, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Mobile e-mail patents-holder Visto Corp. on Tuesday filed a second suit against Research In Motion Ltd. alleging the makers of the ubiquitous BlackBerry had infringed on two other patents related to receiving and sending e-mail messages from phones.

Both patents at issue relate to “enterprise connectivity to handheld devices,” and are used by RIM to enable access to and synchronization of data in secure network environments, such as the Blackberry smartphone.
