Judge Urged To Lift Brakes On Auto Light Price-Fixing Case

Law360, New York (May 2, 2012, 6:39 PM EDT) -- A class of direct purchasers of automotive lighting products on Monday moved to lift a stay on a class action accusing multiple manufacturers of participating in a wide-ranging price-fixing scheme, arguing the court should nix the delay in light of timing changes in a related criminal trial.

After the U.S. Department of Justice indicted Taiwanese company Eagle Eyes Traffic Industrial Co. Ltd., U.S. distributor E-Lite Automotive Inc. and two top executives in July, the civil case was ordered stayed pending the outcome of the criminal trial....
