GAO Rejects Protest Of $1.9B Lockheed Antarctic Contract

Law360, New York (May 1, 2012, 2:22 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has shot down CH2M Hill Inc.’s protest of a $1.9 billion National Science Foundation contract award to Lockheed Martin Corp. to assist scientific research in Antarctica, the GAO said Monday.

CH2M’s arguments that the NSF’s evaluation of the company’s technical proposal was unreasonable, that the agency conducted unequal discussions with Lockheed Martin and that the selection decision was flawed were rejected by the GAO in an April 18 decision that was made public Monday.
