DataTreasury, Citigroup Patent Suit Stayed

Law360 (August 29, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has agreed to stay a patent suit between DataTreasury Corp. and Citigroup Inc. while the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office reexamines six patents-in-suit.

On Tuesday, Judge David Folsom of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas approved the stay, which officially halted the case in regard to four of the six patents asserted by check-imaging company DataTreasury. The order put the entire case on hold, after a January order had stopped discovery relating to the other two patents-in-suit.
