Contract Dollars Still Fueling Afghan Corruption, US Says

Law360, New York (May 1, 2012, 7:52 PM EDT) -- The U.S. has spent billions of dollars to train Afghanistan's military and civilian leaders, but corruption fueled by U.S. contract dollars remains a challenge to the state's legitimacy even as newly trained security forces take greater responsibility for the nation's defense, the U.S. government reported Tuesday.
