Clooney, Roberts Say AV Cos. Used Their Pics To Push Wares

Law360, New York (May 1, 2012, 7:51 PM EDT) -- George Clooney and Julia Roberts slapped two audio-visual technology companies with a trademark and publicity rights lawsuit in California state court Friday, accusing them of using the movie stars' pictures in advertising and marketing materials without permission.

The complaint targeted Georgia-based Digital Projection Inc. and Canada's Beyond Audio Inc., which sell products and services in the A/V technology industry and allegedly made prominent use of large photographs of Clooney and Roberts in their advertising, marketing and promotions.
