Apple, Samsung Ordered To Trim Smartphone Patent Suit

Law360, New York (May 3, 2012, 7:31 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday reportedly told Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. to further limit their patent infringement claims against one another by next week or risk pushing their trial back to next year.

U.S. District Judge Lucy H. Koh warned the companies, which are embroiled in a patent row over technology for smartphones and other mobile devices, that if they can't find a way to narrow the scope of their suit by Monday, she can't allow the case to go to trial...
