Circuit City To Rename Canadian RadioShack Outlets After Court Loss

Law360 (April 27, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Circuit City will rename its RadioShack stores in Canada The Source after losing a U.S. trademark lawsuit brought by rival RadioShack Corp.

The decision affects all 980 RadioShack stores in Canada, which will now have to completely change their look and brand identity.

The move comes one month after a Texas federal court ordered Circuit City Stores Inc. to stop using the RadioShack brand name on InterTan Inc. stores it purchased in Canada last year.
