Bogart's Estate, Furniture Co. Swap Suits Over Sofa Line

Law360, New York (May 7, 2012, 12:16 PM EDT) -- A furniture maker and the estate of movie star Humphrey Bogart traded trademark claims and a declaratory judgment bid in Mississippi and California federal courts on Friday over a furniture line that incorporates the "Casablanca" star's name.

Bogart LLC hit Corinthian Inc. and R.C. Willey Home Furnishings with a trademark infringement suit in California, while Corinthian asked a Mississippi federal court for declaratory judgment against claims brought by the late move star’s estate.
