Court Orders McGraw-Hill To Hand Over Documents

Law360, New York (August 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Publisher McGraw Hill Cos. has been ordered by a district court to hand over documents relating to an ongoing investigation into natural gas price-fixing.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled on Aug. 27 that McGraw-Hill must hand over “certain disputed energy-related documents” requested by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

The CFTC requested the documents as part of its investigation into allegations that energy company traders manipulated natural gas prices and then reported the incorrect data to Platt's, an energy price index published...
