DOT Gives Calif. Lawmakers Ultimatum On Bullet Train Funds

Law360, New York (May 11, 2012, 6:37 PM EDT) -- The Obama administration will consider taking back roughly $3.3 billion in federal grants provided to California to start construction of a high-speed train project if the Legislature does not appropriate the state's share of the funding by June, U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said Thursday.
