Disney Wants Enviros Sanctioned In CWA Suit

Law360, New York (May 14, 2012, 2:33 PM EDT) -- The Walt Disney Co. on Friday asked a federal judge to sanction an environmental group accusing the entertainment company of violating the Clean Water Act for making false statements, fabricating documents, failing to attend depositions and failing to produce relevant documents.

Environmental World Watch Inc. sued Disney in June 2009 for allegedly discharging pollutants, solvents and toxic metals from its 45-acre Burbank, Calif., film and production facility without a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit.
