Third Circuit Revives Broadcom's Claims

Law360 (September 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a vindication for semiconductor company Broadcom Corp., a federal appellate court has reinstated its Sherman Act claims against cell-phone microchip maker and bitter rival Qualcomm Inc. one year after a district court dismissed Broadcom's complaint in its entirety.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit unanimously ruled Tuesday that a district court had erred in tossing all of Broadcom's claims.
