Fort Yuma Indians Seek To Halt 315-MW Calif. Wind Project

Law360, New York (May 15, 2012, 3:07 PM EDT) -- A Native American tribe sued federal authorities Monday, aiming for an immediate halt to the implementation of a 315-megawatt wind energy facility to be built on more than 10,000 acres of public land in California.

The complaint for injunctive and declaratory relief, filed in federal court by the Quechan Tribe of the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation, targeted the Ocotillo Express project in Ocotillo, Calif.
